Owning our own café had been a dream of ours for a long time. After spending over seven years working in hospitality, it was something we always hoped we’d get to do one day. When the opportunity came up to open Hail Mary in Kuranda, we dropped everything in Adelaide and made the leap north.

We brought the rich coffee culture we loved back home and planted it deep within the canopy. Today, Hail Mary is proud to be one of the only spots in Kuranda serving specialty coffee, crafted with care from bean to cup.

Over time, our space has naturally evolved into something even closer to our hearts: a slow-paced, cozy sanctuary for readers, dreamers, students, and travelers alike. Tucked under a wooden deck surrounded by lush rainforest, we’ve built a haven where you can kick off your shoes, grab a blanket, drop into a comfortable chair, and let the ambient sounds of the jungle wash over you.
